How to Prepare the Surface for Insulating Adhesive

Application of EuroZid Thermal Insulating Adhesive requires clean, solid, dust and grease-free surfaces. Treat the base with EuroZid Primer or EuroZid Betonokontakt for optimal adhesion on concrete, brick or limestone. See Mapei training guide for further details.

Application of EuroZid Thermal Insulating Adhesive

Mix 4.5-5.5 liters of water with 25 kg of insulating adhesive, using a mixer (400-600 rpm), until you obtain a homogeneous mass. Leave for 2-3 minutes, then mix again. Apply with a serrated trowel on polystyrene or mineral wool, press firmly. Pot life: 3 hours at 20°C. See Sika application tutorial for effective techniques.
